Bible Study Classes
Sunday School - 9:30 pm
The overall theme for this Summer Quarter is Kings and Leaders. Last quarter we studied the Messianic Prophecy which detailed the coming of our Saviour & King. Often I refer to the Old Testament as the why because it tells us why Jesus had to come and fulfill the roles He did. Unit I: The theme for this month June 2020 is Israel’s Early Leaders. Ehud Defeats Moab. How was he able to accomplish this? Who is Ehud anyway? The Call of Gideon. How does God choose His leaders or was he chosen by God? Gideon Defeats the Midianites. Did he use a WMD or was he just smarter than his enemy? Samson Against the Philistines. The difference between brute strength or Grace of God. Samson’s Final Victory to Samuel’s Leadership Brings Victory. Victory gained with two distinct approaches? We’ll see. Unit II: The theme for this Month July & August 2020 is Saul A Flawed King? Israel Demands a King. If God is your leader do you need a King? Saul Anointed King. With anointing comes great responsibility. Saul’s Disobedience Under Pressure. The decisions of the leader cannot be done under the influence. Unit III: The theme for the month of August 2020 is David: A True King. David Against Goliath how he do that? Saul’s Attempts on David’s Life. Why is Saul so upset with David? David’s Grief for Saul and Jonathan but, wasn’t Saul trying to kill David? Hmmmm? David King Over All Israel. What qualified David for this position? Study and participate in Sunday School for these answers and more! Get Educated, Get Active!!!!! See you in Sunday School! |
